We are proud to present the Seventh year of the Border Crossing.
The White Tail Ridge course will again challenge every type of rider. With a great mix of fast-flowing single track, roots and rocks, fast downhill sections, wide open fields, leg scorching climbs and our own signature elevated wooden berm. Whitetail Ridge is fast-becoming a Twin Cities favorite for riders looking for an ever-evolving challenge. Each race course is tailored to meet the ability level of racers, yet pose a challenge to keep things interesting. Whether it's a leg-churning climb or fun flowing downhill you crave, the trails at Whitetail Ridge will serve up something for everyone.
The race has evolved over the past years into a great community fund-raising campaign in which the local mountain bike club, Kinnickinnic Off-Road Cyclists (KORC) use 100% of the race proceeds to either build and maintain new trails at Whitetail Ridge along with promoting other mountain biking opportunities in the Twin Cities metro and St. Croix River Valley.
There will be rough on-site camping for those that wish to stay at the venue for the weekend and there are also a few great hotels very close by. River Falls and Hudson have an eclectic mix of restaurants and bars.
Please note: Exit either Main Street or Radio Road, go to Paulson Road and that will take you to Highland Blvd or Whitetail. From there you will see the race area.
On-line registration ends on July 6th at 8:00 pm.
*This is a High School Race for free race. Open to 7th -12th graders. NO ONLINE REGISTRATION for these kids. Simply show up for the race and register on the day of. You will get a race plate and race in the CITIZEN class. at 9:30AM start time. There is a special wave for all of these riders. Please be at the venue by 8:30 to register for this race.
MNMBS Race for Free Update
The Series offers two opportunities for 7th through 12th grade student athlete to try racing in a mountain bike race for free during our 2017 season. The two race dates and locations are the Border Crossing, River Falls, July 9th and GameHaven, Rochester, July 30. Here’s updated info about the Race for Free program
1. No Online Registration is available for the Race for Free dates. Students must register on race day at the venue in the Citizen class.
2. Race for Free registration needs to happen prior to 8:45 am.
3. All students will need to sign a waiver at Registration. Parents must sign the waiver for students under the age of 18.
4. Race for Free entrants will stage in the Citizen race in the appropriate age wave group start at 9:30
5. Race day medals will be given to the top 3 finishers in Male and Female classes

1) **Must Register
The Minnesota Series Kids Fun Race is designed to give children an opportunity to compete like their parents in a positive and fun environment. The Race is free to children ages 3 to 12. Parent cyclists ride and race with the kids, providing motivational and physical support.
Race starts at 12:45 PM! Helmets are required. Register on-site only by 12:30pm.
The trails are open to ride any day, so long as they are dry.

WTR is always evolving and this will be one of the best courses we have ever had. The Sport/Marathon/Comp/Expert loop will challenge everyone and has everything Whitetail Ridge offers. All of the climbs, Beans & Franks, and the fast North Loop. The approximate distances are 7 miles per lap for the long loop. with Experts riding 4 laps, Comp riding 3 laps, and Sport riding 2 laps. The citizen loop will be slightly shorter with a little less climbing and fewer technical sections and will be two 5.5 mile loops. While the kids comp will be a bit shorter again on a 4.5 mile loop.
Race courses will be the same as last year. Maps will be made available.
Interstate 94 to River Falls
From the East or West: Exit #3/State Highway 35, off of Interstate 94. Proceed south approximately 5 miles on state highway 35. Turn right at White Tail Boulevard and follow the signs to parking and the race course.
